J Goodman Possibly one of the Napa Goodmans, a banking family after whom the old library was named.

Mrs FL Wooster, SF Probably wife of Fred Wooster; he came from a wealthy San Francisco family, and went on to manage Soda Springs Resort with Andrew Jackson, Colonel Jackson's son. He lost the family fortune, and ventured north during the Klondike Gold Rush, where he died a still young man.

Henry W Mizner, Benicia Son of a prominent family that spawned the notorious Addison and Wilson Mizner, his brothers. Wilson Mizner became a famous wit and screenwriter, Addison Mizner became an architect who designed the most lavish mansions in Florida.

Mr & Mrs HB Chase, Chicago Horace and his wife, the former Mizner girl and Henry's sister.

George Raymond & wife, Boston Raymond may have been the proprietor of the East Coast-based Raymond's Excursions company, which arranged tours for the wealthy.

Faxon Atherton, Jr The town of Atherton was named after his father, Faxon, a Massachussetts merchant who married into an old California family, resulting in their ownership of tens of thousands of acres in the state. His sister-in-law, Gertrude, became a famous novelist and notoriously liberated woman who embarrassed the family greatly.
